In-Ring Segment: Roman Reigns
Reigns tells us last year was a tough one but being in the ring now, in good health, is an absolute blessing. Reigns says last week, Team SmackDown whipped some ass. Reigns says he didn’t do it by himself, he had a great team. Reigns give every team member but King Corbin props. Reigns says they had one dummy on the team and he isn’t going to thank a dummy. Reigns calls Corbin out to the ring so Corbin can apologize. Corbin eventually walks out on the ramp. Corbin says it was his fearless leadership that led to Team SmackDown to victory. Corbin claims that Reigns is jealous. Reigns challenges Corbin to a match tonight. Corbin sends out Robert Roode to fight Reigns tonight.
Roman Reigns vs. Robert Roode w/Dolph Ziggler and King Corbin
Roode takes Reign down with a running shoulder block. Roode grabs a side headlock. Reigns fights out of the hold. Reigns knocks Roode out of the ring. Roode stomps Reigns into the corner. Reigns responds with multiple right hands. Roode hops up to the top rope. Reigns blasts Roode with another right hand that sends Roode tumbling to the floor. Reigns catches Roode with the drive-by. After a distraction by Ziggler, Roode knocks Reigns off the apron. Reigns lands on the announce table. Roode spinebusters Reigns on the announce table. Roode whips Reigns into the barricade. After the break, Roode dives off the top but eats a Superman punch in midair. Reigns calls for the Spear. Roode reverses it into a spinebuster. Reigns kicks out. Corbin tosses his scepter into the ring. Corbin gets on the apron to distract the referee. Reigns Superman punches Corbin, then Spears Roode for the win.
Winner- Roman Reigns
After the match, Ziggler attacks Reigns from behind. Reigns Samoan drops Ziggler. Corbin tries to get involved but Reigns sends Corbin into the ring post. Roode hits Reigns in the back of the head with Corbin’s scepter. Roode lays Reigns’ head on a chair. Roode tries to hit Reigns with the scepter but Reigns avoids it. Reigns knocks Roode out of the ring. Reigns Spears Roode through the barricade. Ziggler tries to help but Reigns whacks Ziggler in the head with the ring steps. Ziggler is sent into the crowd. Reigns tosses a few desk chairs at Roode as he is buried under what is left of the barricade he went through. Reigns lifts up the announce desk and drops it on Roode.
