The preview installment of WWE Backstage did pretty well on Fox Sports 1. Airing after the MLB playoff game between the Houston Astros and New York Yankees, the episode averaged 597,000 viewers during the hour it was on. The episode featured some major WWE news as Triple H gave an interview and announced a trade between RAW and SmackDown on the show.
The show, which is hosted by Renee Young and Booker T, also featured interviews with Cain Velasquez and Rey Mysterio. Also appearing on the episode was Paige and Christian.
