Shad Gaspard and Muhammad Hassan (real name Marc Copani) have collaborated with one another to write a comic book under Scout Comics’ Nonstop! titled Assassin & Son: Path of Vengeance.
Newsarama is reporting that the two WWE Alumni have gotten together with artist Eder Messiah to tell the story of Donovan Braddock, an assassin with a group known as The Horsemen who decides to leave the dirty work behind until his wife is killed in front of him and his young son. Then Braddock’s priorities change and both he and the boy seek retribution. Quotes from Gaspard are below:
“This project means a lot to Marc and myself. After Marc was let go from the company (WWE), writing Assassin & Son helped us both find a new career path as writers,” said Gaspard. “I’ve always been a huge fan of Japanese manga as well as classic literature. Plus, I’ve been traveling the world since I was 19 years old so I was able to come up with unique characters from a multi-cultural perspective. I think fans are going to really like the authenticity of these characters, as well as the badass action on every other page.”
Assassin & Son is scheduled to debut in the spring of 2020.
