It is being reported by ESPN’s Marc Raimondi that Cain Velasquez is scheduled to meet informally with NJPW officials soon. Velasquez was in San Francisco last night for the second night of the Super J-Cup.
It is also reported that there are other wrestling promotions that are showing interest in Velasquez. He still has two committed dates with Lucha Libre AAA on September 15 and October 13.
Cain Velasquez made his professional wrestling debut on August 3 when he teamed with Cody Rhodes and Psycho Clown to defeat Taurus, Texano Jr. & Killer Kross. The general conscious on the match was very positive and gave promising news for the future of Cain as a professional wrestler.
For those of you who do not quite understand the rave about Cain Velasquez, he is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion and defeated Brock Lesnar in the octagon.
Cain Velasquez is at the New Japan Super J Cup show tonight in San Francisco. Sources said he’ll be having an informal meeting with NJPW officials. Velasquez is signed on for two more Lucha Libre AAA matches, but several other wrestling promotions have interest, per sources.
