Pro wrestling legend and multi-Hall Of Famer Harley Race passed away last week at the age of 76, and “The Toughest Man On God’s Green Earth” was given some extra time thanks in part to Vince McMahon.
According to former WWE star Trevor Murdoch who is from the Missouri area, was very close with Race and was trained at Harley’s Wrestling Academy had the following to share regarding what McMahon did for his friend after Harley’s condition worsened and needed a medical flight from Atlanta to St. Louis.
I just wanted to put this out there. Harley needed to be transferred from Atlanta to St.Louis. He needed to take a Med flight because he was in rough shape. Medicare wouldn’t help him. A call was made to WWE and 10 mins later it was paid in full. Vince McMahon never blinked an eye. He wanted to make sure Harley was taken care of.
Thank you Vince, you gave me 2 more days with Harley.

Murdoch isn’t the only younger talent that Harley took under his wing. The likes of Tommaso Ciampa, Ted DiBiase Jr. and Curtis Axel are all alumni of Harley Race’s Wrestling Academy.
