Kylie Rae has been noticeably absent from All Elite Wrestling events and programming, but it’s now being said that it’s due to a medical issue.
According to this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Kylie’s situation is due to an undisclosed medical issue. It was noted that it has been kept quiet, and she’s expected back soon. Kylie was originally scheduled to compete in a match against Leva Bates at Fyter Fest on the ‘Buy In’ pre-show in June, but she was replaced in the bout by Allie.
Kylie Rae did compete at AEW’s Double Or Nothing event in Las Vegas in May; Britt Baker defeated Kylie, Nyla Rose and Awesome Kong in a fatal four way match. Kylie has not been active on social media in a month; one promotion called Cross Body Pro Wrestling Academy did post an announcement about her cancelling an upcoming booking, but did not say what the reason was:
Ladies and Gentleman,
I have the unfortunate responsibility to let everyone know that today, I received an e-mail from Kylie Rae informing me that she is no longer accepting any bookings.
This one left me confused, and heart broken, as I’ve put a lot of time and work into making this happen, and other All Elite Wrestling stars are making other dates in our area that same weekend. I was not given any reasoning other than what I’ve provided.
I can honestly say, that Kylie has been an absolute professional, and a sweetheart to deal with. I’m sure this whole process has been extremely confusing and exhausting for the talent. We wish Kylie absolute nothing but the best, and hope that one day we can eventually work together in the future!
I am truly, and deeply sorry to both Alexia Nicole and Krystal Moon, as well as our audience for this. The announcement of bringing her in was the most feedback we’ve ever received, I can not begin to apologize enough to our fans.
I will be announcing her replacement shortly, as thankfully, one has already been found.
Thank you,
Ben Ortmanns
