As promised, Shane McMahon promised to listen to any SmackDown stars’ complaints during a WWE town hall session. However, there was one notable exception as he barred Kevin Owens from appearing tonight due to “insubordination.” McMahon opened up by thanking Owens for giving him the idea of allowing any other superstar to respectfully bring up any praise or complaints toward him.
After telling superstars to go ahead and talk, Roman Reigns was the first to respond. Reigns told McMahon that nobody respects him and that “as far as diplomacy [goes], you can kiss my ass.” McMahon said that wasn’t respectful, and so Reigns was going to be fined as such.
"@ShaneMcMahon, I don't think you get it, nobody in this room respects you. And as far as diplomacy goes, well, you can kiss my a**!"- @WWERomanReigns

Shane McMahon then welcomed Charlotte Flair to the microphone. Flair proceeded to thank McMahon and his family for giving her so many opportunities. However, Liv Morgan then interrupted Flair calling her a phony and asked if there was anything real about her. “It’s because of people like you that people like me don’t get a fair opportunity,” said Morgan before being cut off by McMahon.
Next up was former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy, who told Owens to keep his name out of his mouth because he doesn’t need anyone to fight his battles. Then Apollo Crews came up and said that “everybody including myself agree with what Kevin Owens said last week.” This was combated by Zelina Vega, who said that Crews was trying to kiss up to the audience right now and asked him to face Andrade in a match.
A familiar chord was struck as Elias came out and started to talk about how great Shane McMahon was until New Day interrupted and talked about how he’s the “greatest jackass in SmackDown Live history. While Kofi Kingston doesn’t like Kevin Owens, he said that he’s making some good points and talked about how it took too long for him to get a championship opportunity. “You’re not giving anyone opportunities, and what’s up with that Shane?” asked the champion before his microphone was cut short and Shane ended the town hall meeting.
However, Cesaro had something to say despite not being on SmackDown Live. He challenged Aleister Black to another match, which McMahon set up. The segment wasn’t over though as Kevin Owens snuck in and gave the billionaire’s son a stunner.
