In a report published in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, we get a picture of where both Ring of Honor and IMPACT are in terms of audience. Looking at their recent big shows, both companies seem to be neck and neck, at least when it comes to PPV buys. On 6/28, IMPACT’s Slammiversary show had 1,500 customers, while ROH’s Best in the World had around 1,400. Replay buys continue to be consistently similar, with one company reporting that the difference between the two promotions is just six purchases.
What isn’t estimated in this measure is that ROH serves a lot of its customers through Honor Club. This would put ROH ahead of the game, as they’re matching IMPACT on traditional customers before even factoring in Honor Club subscribers.
IMPACT’s Slammiversary number is consistent with last year’s rendition of the show, but it’s down from their other PPVs, including this year’s Homecoming and Rebellion events.
