Sources speaking to PWInsider have confirmed that former IMPACT Champion Johnny Impact (also known as John Hennigan) is finished with the promotion following Sunday’s match with Rich Swann at Slammiversary. Hennigan has become one of the biggest names in IMPACT since his arrival in 2017. He also made a name for himself as Johnny Mundo in Lucha Underground. Before all that, Hennigan wrestled as Johnny Nitro and John Morrison in WWE, winning a multitude of titles over a long run.
There is no indication as of now as to where Hennigan will show up next. During his time away from WWE, he’s also appeared in many films, so a further focus on acting could be in the cards. Hennigan’s wife Taya Valkyrie is the current IMPACT Knockouts Champion, and her contract is set to run through the end of the year.
