Sorry about your damn luck … James Storm is the new NWA National Champion.
Storm defeated Colt Cabana at tonight’s Ring Of Honor television tapings in Philadelphia. Cabana came out to give a health update on his injured knee when James Storm interrupted. Colt said he’s hurt and already tried to give Storm extra time … and Storm said that’s why he’s here. He says he wants five more minutes and goads Colt into the match after kicking his cane out and shoving him.
Storm worked Colt’s knee and Colt could barely stand the whole time, but got a few shots in. Storm ultimately wins the match after a Backcracker and a half crab submission. Storm then made a reluctant Ian Riccaboni—who tried talking Colt out of the match—announced him as the winner.
