Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter provided some more details surrounding the current relationship status between New Japan Pro Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling.
According to Meltzer, it is unknown as to whether AEW will recognize Jon Moxley as the IWGP U.S. Champion when he makes his in-ring debut for the promotion against Joey Janela for Fyter Fest, but Moxley will not be attending the G1 Climax Tournament press conference that will hail from Arlington, TX on July 5. Meltzer is reporting that the two promotions have gone from “wanting to build a relationship to that no longer being the case.”
