All Elite Wrestling’s Kip Sabian took part in a media scrum following the AEW Double Or Nothing weigh-in at Starrcast, and spoke about what the promotion being on ITV means for fans in the UK, and much more.
Sabian talked about the emotions leading into Double Or Nothing, saying this was not only for him, but going to AEW also puts a bigger spotlight on the UK scene:
“Dude, it’s great. How do I feel? Kind of tired, I guess, the jet lag is a bit confusing for me. For me, it’s not about doing it for AEW – it’s also doing it for the UK. The UK scene has been thriving for years, and now it gives me the chance to show what my country has been producing. Plus it’s the first match ever in AEW so no matter what happens, you can’t take that away.”
Sabian said there is definitely pressure in this situation, but still considered it the best situation he’s been in in pro wrestling so far:
“I thrive under pressure. There’s a lot of pressure going onto it, but nine times out of ten, it takes you to the next level. I’m good with that. Everyone behind the scenes here has been great. This is the best experience I’ve ever had in wrestling.”
