IMPACT Announces Main Event For Slammiversary
On IMPACT’s Slammiversary PPV show on July 7, it seems that Brian Cage will be defending his Impact World Championship against Michael Elgin come hell or high water. Cage is currently out of action with an injury, but he cut a promo saying that he’s cleared to go back to the gym and that he plans on defending his title and the honor of his friends “no matter what.”

Sandman Passes On The Kendo Stick
Elsewhere on last night’s edition of IMPACT, there were several moments calling back to the classic days of ECW. Not only did RVD, Tommy Dreamer and Sabu team up in a six-man tag team match, but Sandman decided to pass on his kendo stick to Eddie Edwards. While it would be foolhardy to suggest that any of these ECW Legends would leave the ring at this point, it could be a sign that Sandman is looking to the future.
