In an interview with Barbi Hayden for Title Match Wrestling, Eric Bischoff talked about his plans for watching AEW’s Double or Nothing live. While he certainly could have watched the show backstage if he desired, he had a different plan.
I’m going to put on a hat and a pair of sunglasses and sit up in the cheap seats. That’s really the best place to get a sense of a show. If you’re backstage or producing it, there’s just a different kind of energy. I want to see what it’s like out in the audience.
When asked about his plans in the immediate future, Eric confirmed that he was producing Netflix’s upcoming Hulk Hogan biography. He’s also keeping up with his podcast and going on a grueling Canadian live tour this summer. “30 shows in 30 nights, it’s called the ironman tour. I look at it as an adventure. I love road trips. All I’m going to do is stop in some town every night, have a couple of beers and talk to some wrestling fans.“
