Juice Robinson Comments On His Past Relationship With Jon Moxley

Juice Robinson says he’s not the same guy from NXT, and Jon Moxley should know he’ll do whatever it takes to keep his title.

Shortly after their title match was announced, Juice took part in a press conference and talked about his past relationship with the former Dean Ambrose, who made his debut at All Elite Wrestling’s Double Or Nothing event on Saturday night.

“I should have known this [the ‘Time’s Up’ guy] was Jon Moxley by the way he was hunched over the bar, the same way he used to hunch over the bar in Dale Mabry, Tampa, Florida eight years ago. A lot of people don’t know this, but me and Moxley started in FCW on the same day, but he wasn’t Jon Moxley then, he was Dean Ambrose. And I wasn’t Juice Robinson then, I was CJ Parker. I was 22-years-old, and he used to call me up on the phone and say, ‘Hey CJ, come to the bar!’ I looked up to him, and I would go and we would drink, and he would teach me about the business because he was a better professional wrestler than I was then—without a doubt—and I knew it. I knew he was better than me.

I used to be in the car with him, Seth [Rollins] and Corey [Graves], but eventually Jon wasn’t in Florida anymore. Jon left Florida and went to the main [WWE] roster and he championships and he became one of the biggest names in the company, while CJ Parker stayed in Florida.

CJ Parker stayed in Florida so long that CJ Parker had to pull himself out of Florida and he had to come to Japan. He had to come to New Japan and hit the reset button. Goodbye CJ Parker, hello Juice Robinson.

Jon Moxley, I want you to understand this—I am not CJ Parker anymore. I am a real life professional wrestler, and dammit I’m the IWGP United States Champion. That means the world to me. I’ve been complaining and whining and saying that I want a challenger that is going to elevate this title, well look at us—we’re having a press conference on a match coming up at the Ryogoku final.

You’re exactly what I want, Jon, you’re exactly what I want. But hear me when I tell you; if you think you’re just going to come here to New Japan Pro-Wrestling—my home—and rape and pillage and leave it worse than you found it, and in six months you’re out of here and you’re just collecting a paycheck—if you think you’re going to make your name on me, you’re wrong.

I’m not CJ Parker anymore. Ask Cody! I ‘Pulp Fictioned’ Cody right out of the company. I’m going to show up to Ryogoku ready to fight, and I know the media has already crowned [Moxley]. I know social media has already crowned him, but you know who hasn’t crowned him yet? The people that are going to be sitting in that arena—my fans, the people that believe in me, the people that know my heart is New Japan.

You guys put the headline out; ‘What Does Jon Moxley Have In Store For Juice Robinson?’ I read that, and it pissed me off. Have you ever thought this? What does Juice Robinson have in store for Jon Moxley? At Ryogoku, I’m not going to be dancing and smiling around. I’m going to be a kid that loves this business and I will do whatever it takes to keep [my title]. Jon, you’re coming for a fight and I’m ready.
