As advertised, a four-man elimination match between The Miz, Bobby Lashley, Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin took place to determine the number one contender for Seth Rollins’ WWE Universal Championship at WWE Super Showdown.

The match started off with a fun preview of Bobby Lashley vs. Braun Strowman as the two imposing figures tried to outmuscle one another. This was broken apart by Corbin, who decided to join a temporary alliance with Lashley. After getting Strowman out of the ring, they switched their attention to The Miz. Eventually Strowman regained his composure and started assaulting Lashley. The two went into the crowd and brawled to the back.
Corbin then hit an End of Days to defeat Miz and get the first and only pinfall. Since the other two weren’t nearby, Corbin earned the title shot.
