Shawn Spears (Tye Dillinger) conducted a session with the media after Double or Nothing this weekend and revealed that even though he was apart of the event, he has not signed a long term deal with AEW. “At this moment, there’s nothing in writing. When the opportunity came to be at Double or Nothing, I dove all over it. I didn’t ask any questions. I didn’t care. I knew this was groundbreaking and history making and I wanted to be a part of that.”
Spears went on to talk about being happy that Jon Moxley (Dean Ambrose) signed with AEW and claimed this is the version of Moxley people have been waiting to see for a long time. Spears is certain that other superstars are going to attempt to throw their name into joining AEW. “I’m pretty sure there’s going to be a lot of people calling, knocking on the door, and trying to get here. Who knows who is going to show up next.”
Shawn ended by saying he is happy that he got to be a part of the history and will never forget his role for Double or Nothing.
