Deadline is reporting that Dean Ambrose has been cast in the upcoming mixed martial arts movie, Cagefighter.
Ambrose joins a cast that includes famous MMA talents like George St. Pierre, Anderson Silva and Alexander Gustafsson.
The story of Cagefighter focuses on an MMA Champ who loses a fight to a pro wrestler and has to work his way back up in the ranks of the mixed martial arts world to try and challenge for a rematch.
Famous actors that fill out the cast are Josh Herdman, Michael Jai White, Gina Gershon, Michelle Ryan and Jason Maza. Cagefighter is currently in pre-production. It is being executive produced by WWE’s Christian and directed by Jesse Quinones.
