On this week’s Figure Friday we take a look at your not so average figure, the latest Forever Collectibles WWE bobblehead of Ronda Rousey! This is currently up for pre-order on FOCO.com and should be shipping by the end of May, but we got our hands on it early for all of you!
The Packaging
The box is similar to that of the others in the set, with a slick white design. There’s no window on the box; however, there’s a large image of the full bobblehead on the front with “Ronda Rousey” at the bottom as well as a real image of Ronda on the back of the box. Within the box the bobblehead is completely surrounded by big blocks of styrofoam as well as baggies to separate the figurine and stand from rubbing against one another.
The Head Sculpt
Here is where I think some people have a gripe with this one. I see the likeness in the sculpt, but some people claim it’s off a bit. It could be the makeup throwing off the likeness, but I feel it’s the hair color really as her hair is a little too dark in my opinion. But other than that I really like it personally. They captured her wart/mole below her left eye, her eye shadow and the coolest part to me is the two different style ears. Her left ear has the “cauliflower ear” look, which is an awesome detail in my opinion. Even if that wasn’t intentional it is pretty cool. Looking back at her hair you can see the detail in her ponytail as well as all the braids, which are all very detailed. Not to mention her head is protected by a foam piece to prevent the head from rattling in transit, etc.
The Attire
Ronda is in a mixture of her ring and entrance attire minus the jacket. She is actually holding the belt accessory, pardon me for not knowing the exact terminology, in her right hand. She has her kilt on with her shorts peeking out a bit underneath. Of course she has her Rowdy top as well as her hand gauntlets on. The detail is very well done from head to toe, including the laces on her boots. Speaking of her boots, she has a screw on her right foot with a nut to tighten it to the display stand.
The Display Stand
The display stand is pretty awesome. It’s very similar to all the other ones in the set where it looks almost like a WCW Nitro/House Show type stage. It has the modern WWE logo on it, lights, a ramp and more all decked out with Ronda Rousey logos and graphics. The screw on Ronda’s right foot locks into the hole in the base of the display stand, which can then be fastened via the other side with the nut.
Overall
It’s a pretty cool bobblehead if you’re a fan of Ronda. It’s not my favorite one in the set personally but I still love the detail on it and the display stand is awesome. I think her hair color is throwing me off a bit personally but it’s not bad overall. She fits in well with the others in the set and you can currently pre-order her on the Forever Collectibles website if you’re interested! Feel free to check out my video review below to see her even more in-depth besides the gallery.
