Dean Malenko, who recently quit WWE following eight years of work as a backstage agent and many more with the company, has announced an appearance at Starrcast II. WWE barred current employees The Undertaker and Kurt Angle from appearing at the event, and the quick turnaround between Dean’s departure from the company and this announcement surely seems to be more than a mere coincidence.

Will this mean that Dean will bring his backstage skills to WWE’s new rival promotion? It’s not clear yet, but we’ll certainly be keeping our eyes out for any and all AEW news as Double or Nothing approaches.
