Tonight’s episode of 205 Live took things to new heights, as it featured a variety of high flying superstars taking down each other after an explosive episode of SmackDown Live.
The first matchup saw Humberto Carrillo taking on Drew Gulak, and although Gulak is not known for his ability to soar through the air, he surprised many in the crowd by attempting to take down Carrillo in that way. Although the pair duked it out in a variety of ways, Gulak nearly had Carrillo tapping out late in the match. Unfortunately for him, however, it was Carrillo who was able to capitalize, as after Gulak tried to take Carrillo to the top rope, Carrillo managed to counter Gulak and deliver a vicious Aztec Press that finished the match and Gulak.

The final match of the night for 205 Live saw Oney Lorcan taking on Ariya Daivari, with the two feuding for a chance at taking on Tony Nese for the WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Prior to the match, Lorcan took to the camera to explain that Daivari was similar to him, as they both liked to get right to work and try to take down their opponents as hard as possible.

When it was time for the match to start, it was Daivari that did his fair share of stalling, constantly exiting the ring and taking his time at attacking Lorcan. Eventually, though, the pair really got into it, and things got pretty crazy from there. As both superstars continued to brawl in the ring, it was Daivari that eventually was able to gain the upper hand, and after both wrestlers had tired themselves out, Daivari was able to land a series of vicious superkick to the head of Lorcan before landing a Hammerlock clothesline to Lorcan, finishing him off and cementing a shot at Tony Nese. After the match, he went over to Nese – who was watching from the commentary area – and let him know that he was coming for the belt.
