Jim Ross was on the Inside the Ropes podcast and talked about his current contract negotiations with All Elite Wrestling. According to Ross, he’ll be joining their presentation (as long as the deal works out) and will be in Vegas for Double or Nothing.
“We’re trying to get all the I’s dotted, and T’s crossed, and hopefully my tenure will eventually lead me to AEW, who we’ve been negotiating with for quite some time,” said Ross. “That’s my goal. Start to work there and be part of their presentation in May and in Vegas during May for Double or Nothing.”
Despite this, Ross says his relationship is good with Vince McMahon and WWE. “Vince was very supportive of me leaving and getting back in the game so to speak. If anyone can appreciate being active, it’s him. He’s still on TV at 73. We have the same wiring in that regard. No controversy, and hopefully it’ll be finalized by Wednesday.”
