With Ronda Rousey preparing to take on Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a triple threat match for the WWE RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 35, another superstar has come to her defense and praised her run in the WWE.

Speaking to SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, Natalya praised Rousey’s work ethic and revealed that she was incredibly impressed with Rousey following their match on Christmas Day. “The thing about Ronda is that she has definitely put in the work. I like the fact that she is willing to take risks,” she said. “She’s part of this WrestleMania main event for several reasons, and one of those reasons is that she’s willing to hate her to get people interested in watching the show.”
Natalya went on to defend the way that Rousey is able to be so polarizing, arguing that it makes the matches she fights even better. “You look at some our most pivotal, polarizing characters in WWE … if every one in the locker room was getting along, would you pay to see that?” said Natalya.
Natalya does make a good point, as Rousey has quickly become one of the most polarizing figures in the WWE, and with her main event match just a week away, it’s unlikely she’ll be any less polarizing as time goes on.
