Kazuchika Okada defeated SANADA in the finals of The New Japan Cup over the weekend and as The Rainmaker readies himself for his IWGP World Championship showdown against Jay White at Madison Square Garden, Okada also has other intentions in mind.
New Japan shared a quote from Okada saying that he’s ready to show why the company is still the greatest wrestling promotion even after losing a lot of big-name stars:
Okada: Nobody left New Japan because it's bad, they have their own reasons. I'm supportive of them but have to show why New Japan is still the best. #njcup #g1supercard

Okada: What hasn't changed is that the IWGP title is still the top title in wrestling and you have a lot of responsibility as the standard bearer for all of wrestling as champion. #njcup #g1supercard
