WWE Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan was interviewed by the Jim Varsallone YouTube channel during a WWE Be a STAR anti-bullying rally last week at the Garcia Salesian Boys & Girls Club in Tampa, Florida. Here are some highlights from “The Hulkster’s” comments:
Speaking to the Boys Club about he himself being bullied as a kid:
It’s really cool to be here because when I talk to the Boys’ Clubs it’s mainly about accountability and stepping it up and owning it – good or bad. But today is a little bit different subject – it’s about bullying. And so many of us – such as me, having the largest head in elementary school, and I was so fat when I was a kid when I would go to the beach I was the only one that didn’t take my shirt off, I got bullied a lot. And some of these kids don’t realize that a lot of other WWE Superstars got bullied, so we got a lot in common. We share our stories and let these kids know they’re not in it alone. It’s a major deal brother.
Being back with WWE:
Well, it’s really cool to be back. I’m in and out all the time. I started in 1977, ’78 with Vince’s father – and I’ve quit and been fired, quit and been fired – but it’s great to be back. And it’s really fun being home with these guys, it’s really really cool.
