Its been a while since WWE fans have seen Dolph Ziggler on television. His last appearance came as a member of the final four in the 2019 Men’s Royal Rumble match in January. A lot has been made about Ziggler’s status with WWE as of late, sparking rumors about his relationship with the company.
Speaking to 98.5’s Wrestling Inside the Ropes, Ziggler was asked if he’s still under contract with WWE. “The Showoff” said he technically is, describing it as more of a “handshake agreement.”

Uh, technically I am, yes. It’s weird because the last two years I’ve had a – somewhat of a handshake agreement, kind of behind closed doors deal, with WWE. So, I’ve been able to do a lot of things on my own, not at WWE, just because of the relationship we’ve had the last 14 years. So I have a bit of a handshake agreement right now and – we’ll know some more details in the coming months.
