Another clip from Enzo Amore’s shoot video with the Title Match Network has been released. The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion talks his relationship with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. He says Stephanie was “so nice and kind” to him, and he understood why Hunter was worried about him. Amore even admits that “Hunter was right” to do so.
“I don’t have anything bad to say about Hunter or Stephanie,” said Amore. “I think what Hunter was fearful of, in essence, happened. He was right. Picture it like this. Wrestling is scripted. We make it what we want. The character I painted myself as was not Kurt Angle, but we can create a Kurt Angle if we wanted to. Kurt Angle had success, though, because he brought the credibility of his previous endeavors of an Olympian to the table. That made him viable. What made me viable was that I was the [Enzo Amore character] off-screen that I was on [RAW].”
He also discussed why he never took part in backstage politicking. “I never expected to win a title. I was happy to be there. I couldn’t believe they were giving me a microphone … [After WrestleMania] I realized quickly that I had nothing to accomplish anymore besides [building the 205 Live brand].”
