At WWE Fastlane, the inaugural Women’s Tag Team Champions, the Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection, retained the titles against Nia Jax and Tamina. But the celebratory mood quickly soured when Jax and Tamina attacked the champions after the match.

Jax and Tamina attacked Bayley and Sasha Banks after the champions won the match. When guest commentator Beth Phoenix stood up to the assailants, they attacked her, too. Natalya rushed to the ring but she became another victim to the onslaught. Despite losing the match, Jax and Tamina sent a message to the rest of the women’s division.
