WWE Superstars Show Support For Kofi Kingston
Kofi Kingston punched his ticket to Elimination Chamber with an impressive Gauntlet Match victory on SmackDown Live. Kingston was even more impressive in the Elimination Chamber match where he and WWE Champion Daniel Bryan were the last two men left standing.
Kingston came up just short in his WWE Championship opportunity, but that doesn’t mean he won’t get another one and some are hoping that occurs at WrestleMania 35.
Dave Meltzer reported earlier today that Kofi Kingston is the favorite to challenge WWE Champion Daniel Bryan at the upcoming Fastlane pay-per-view; but, a host of WWE Superstars took to Twitter to show their support for Kingston, as Bryan’s potential WrestleMania 35 opponent.
RAW Superstar Seth Rollins tweeted:

Kofi’s New Day stable-mate Xavier Woods was quite clear. He wants to see Kingston challenge Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35:

Mike Kanellis opened up about Kofi Kingston the wrestler and Kofi Kingston the human being:

Rusev doesn’t think KofiMania is a real thing, but managed to support the trending hashtag anyway:
#KofiMania is not a real thing and never will be!

Marty Scurll vs Kenny King Added To ROH 17th Anniversary
Ring of Honor announced that Marty Scurll and Kenny King has been added to the ROH 17th Anniversary PPV.
The following is excerpted from ROHWrestling.com:
Las Vegas is known for big fights and bright lights, so what better city for The Best Wrestling on the Planet to celebrate its birthday in? On March 15 at Sam’s Town Live in Sin City, Ring of Honor presents its 17th Anniversary show live on pay-per-view and for HonorClub VIP.
The show takes place three weeks before the historic G1 Supercard at sold-out Madison Square Garden, so what happens at 17th Anniversary in Vegas will not stay in Vegas; the ramifications will surely be felt at The World’s Most Famous Arena in New York City on April 6.
Just signed for Anniversary is a match pitting “The Villain” Marty Scurll against Kenny King.
“THE VILLAIN” MARTY SCURLL vs. KENNY KING
Scurll and King haven’t crossed paths often, but it’s been enough times for them to develop an intense dislike for one another.
Their most recent encounter was in a Four Corner Survival Match that also involved Silas Young and Willie Mack at Bound By Honor in Miami on Feb. 10. Scurll appeared to have the match won when he trapped Young in the chicken wing, but the referee was distracted by King bringing a chair into the ring and did not see Young tapping. King went on to hit a low blow on Scurll behind the referee’s back, and then he rolled up Scurll and grabbed a handful of tights for the win.
It was a similar result last summer when Scurll and King met in a singles match, as King rolled up Scurll and placed his feet on the ropes for extra leverage to score the victory.
Scurll, who is owed an ROH World Title Match by virtue of winning Survival of the Fittest in November, wants to gain retribution on King at Anniversary and put his focus back on becoming world champion.
King believes he is the uncrowned ROH World Champion, and another victory over Scurll certainly would strengthen his case for receiving another shot at the championship.
Will King continue to have Scurll’s number, or will “The Villain” deal King a defeat in his hometown of Las Vegas? Join us in-person, on pay-per-view or streaming for HonorClub VIP to find out!
