MJF On Signing With All Elite Wrestling, Says ‘The Sky Is The Limit’ For Him In 2019

Wrestlezone’s Angel Garcia recently spoke with Maxwell Jacob Friedman at AAW in Chicago, where he defeated Fred Yehi at the promotion’s The Final Stand live event.

MJF talked about how he became one of AEW’s newest signees:

How did that happen? It happened because… look at me! I can talk better than anybody else, I can walk better than anybody else, I can wrestle better than anybody else. Bell to bell, nobody is better than M-J-F. But, more extensively, a guy like Cody Rhodes, the Young Bucks, they need new, hot, young talent, and they need guys like me. They need three year wily veterans such as myself. That’s how it occurred, they saw my talent, I saw their talent for developing a tremendous company, and I am incredibly excited to be a part of it.”

Have you seen a rise in popularity since he has a wider audience on Being The Elite?

“Some death threats here and there, but besides that, it’s really the same old stuff.”

What does 2019 hold for MJF?

“I said it on the Stone Cold podcast, I said it on the Sam Roberts podcast, and now I’m saying it here. The sky is the goddamned limit. If you thought 2018 was good, just you wait until you see what I’ve got in store in 2019.”

Does he have anything to say to his fans?

“I don’t really care to have fans. I make money unlike everyone else in this industry. You can follow me on Twitter and Instagram at @The_MJF,  moreover, there’s a hot young kid on the scene named Sage Canaan (sp?), you look into his matches and he’s doing really good out there, granted he slipped me $500 to say this, but nonetheless it has happened, so it is written, so it shall be. My name is Maxwell Jacob and I’m better than you.”
