Trevor Lee announced at last nights CWF Mid-Atlantic show in Gibsonville, NC that he has signed a deal with WWE. Lee departed Impact a few months ago and made it public that he was interested in either signing with WWE or NJPW an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated shortly after revealing he was not staying with IMPACT.
Lee is still the CWF Mid-Atlantic Champion and will participate in a six-way match for the title that will take place at their next show in Gibsonville on Feb. 2. Lee has been a big name in the North Carolina independent scene for a long time and broke out in 2014 during a run with Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. He started with IMPACT in 2015 with the Global Force Wrestling invasion. He would then go on to become a full-time wrestler with the company. He is expected to enter the NXT System in the coming months.
