According to a report from PWInsider, IMPACT Wrestling President Ed Nordholm addressed the talent last night at the TV tapings in Nashville.
The speech was said to be a very positive one. Nordholm described 2017 as being a learning year for the company, 2018 was touted as being a very positive year for the company, and there was an all-around tone of optimism for the things to come in 2019.
Regarding television, Ed Nordholm really expressed positivity towards the fight Network, which is owned by Anthem, and touted IMPACT being a huge part of the Fight Network growing. Also, he said that the move to Pursuit Channel was due to the fact that Anthem owns a minor stake in the channel and when Anthem acquired impact one of the early goals was for Anthem to have IMPACT as part of one of their own assets and Pursuit fits that description.
There was a Q&A portion where Nordholm said that IMPACT is not for sale nor is Anthem trying to sell them.
The report also notes that Scott Steiner’s appearance of the tapings last night was a one-and-done for the move to Pursuit Channel, but the door is open for more work to be done in the future. Also, the next IMPACT pay-per-view is scheduled for April, but an exact date is unknown.
