All Elite Wrestling is steadily picking up momentum as the New Year approaches and it looks like another company wanted to be ‘All In’ with their inevitable launch.

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription included), “forces” were looking to sell IMPACT Wrestling to AEW, to which it was turned down. The report from Dave Meltzer stated that with The Fight Network losing UFC at the beginning of the year, Anthem still has good reason to keep IMPACT around. The move from the 8pm-10pm timeslot to Friday’s 10pm-12am was strategic to prepare for WWE’s SmackDown Live move to the Fox Network in October.  As previously reported, IMPACT Wrestling will be leaving Pop TV to air on the Pursuit Channel after the ‘Homecoming’ pay-per-view event in January.

All Elite Wrestling, founded by The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes, has currently been filing for various trademarks in conjunction with Tony Khan, son of Jacksonville Jaguars owner, Shahid Khan.
