Wrestling Legend Larry Hennig, nicknamed The Axe, has passed away at the age of 82. Larry was a legend of the Minnesota wrestling area and was a huge player in the AWA.
We are more than extremely sad to hear that the long-time tag-team partner, wrestling legend, and most importantly close-friend of @8XNWAChampion – Larry Hennig – has passed away. We can't express the sadness that we feel at this time.

Fans of today’s WWE would best know him as the father of the late Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig, and the grandfather of current WWE Raw Superstar Curtis Axel. Larry was quite the accomplished big man of his day and he will be missed.
