As TLC shortly approaches, the contract signing between Auska, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch ends with the two contenders losing out in a tag match.
SmackDown Live opened up with the three participants in the Women’s Championship TLC match standing in the ring. It didn’t take long for Lynch and Charlotte to get into a war of words, focusing on their past battles. Asuka would insert herself into the confrontation, acknowledging that while Becky has beaten Charlotte, Becky has never defeated her. Flair would retort, reminding Asuka that it was her that ended Asuka’s undefeated streak and her aura. Lynch would sign the contract and leave the ring, while Charlotte and Asuka get face-to-face.
Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, feeling cheated by Paige for her negligence towards them, felt that both Flair and Asuka were both undeserving challengers. Paige would then make an impromptu tag with Charlotte and Asuka facing the disgruntled duo of Rose and Deville.

Lynch would return to get a closer look at the match and her future opponents. Flair and Asuka’s experience would overshadow the chemistry, but an inadvertent boot from Charlotte to Asuka led to Deville taking advantage of their meltdown. Asuka would retaliate and strike Charlotte with a kick, giving Deville the opportunity to roll up the former SmackDown WOmen’s Champion and secure the upset.
