Baron Corbin made it quite clear that WWE RAW has too many members on the roster and that they were going to have to downsize. As such, the tag team of Rhyno and Heath Slater, who were former WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions, faced off in singles competition with a huge stipulation: the loser would no longer be on RAW.
Heath Slater was able to pick up a quick victory over his former tag team partner. It looks to be an unspectacular goodbye to Rhyno. While it’s currently unsure if this is just a storyline departure or if Rhyno is gone for good, it’s still sad to see a storied veteran go out in this way.
After the match, Heath Slater asked Corbin if he could do anything for Rhyno. Corbin responded by saying that all he can do is his job, and then handed him a referee outfit. It looks like Slater’s in-ring career is temporarily over.
