On the undercard of last night’s Golden Boy Promotions MMA event, which was headlined by Chuck Liddell vs Tito Ortiz 3, former UFC fighter and current MLW star Tom Lawlor returned to the cage in a losing effort against AKA prospect Deron Winn. Tom lost via unanimous decision in what was an emphatic performance for Winn, who has been tipped for superstardom by the likes of Daniel Cormier. Lawlor’s transition from mixed martial arts to professional wrestling was well noted on the broadcast, with Todd Grisham bringing it up prior to the bout.

Don't make me sad, don't make me cry
Sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough
I don't know why
Keep making me laugh,
Let's go get high
The road is long, we carry on
