The situation surrounding All Elite Wrestling, the alleged promotion involving Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, and the billionaire Khan family, continues to get more interesting. The latest tidbit comes from this week’s issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required). After news surfaced of the multiple trademark filings around the name, “several WWE talents” were said to be interested in the potential promotion.
Of course, this entire promotion (if it even winds up happening) is still early in the planning stages. Reportedly, a television deal is key to it getting off the ground, and that’s not the easiest thing for a wrestling promotion to get (as noticed by Global Force Wrestling’s struggles and several other promotions paying for television time). However, we could see the wrestling landscape rapidly change come next year.
