Meiko Satomura recently did an interview with Yahoo Japan about participating in the Mae Young Classic this year and it having a positive impact on her career and future with WWE. You can read the highlights below.
On being apart of WWE Evolution:
The scale and level are completely different from Japan. When watching I knew that I wanted to stand at that center stage, and I felt keenly that I could not stay in Japan anymore. Watching the Smackdown Women’s Championship match made my whole body tremble, it was an amazing match.
On a dream match with Ronda Rousey:
I have not experienced encountering players who are emitting such aura, and I want to fight her at the top, this is not a dream but a realistic goal. If I get a chance to participate again next year I will definitely cross the sea again next year. I want to have a challenge for new generation and if I win here (in Japan) I will be perfect. Next year I want go to the ring of WWE. I will continue fighting in Japan for now and aim for the top of the world.
She went on to say that she received high praise from Triple H after all of her Mae Young Classic matches and that the event was different than anything she has ever experienced in Japan. You can read the full interview HERE.
