WWE Executive VP of Talent Triple H has suffered what is being reported as a torn pectoral muscle. Triple H suffered the injury when teaming with his long-time DX partner Shawn Michaels against The Brothers of Destruction at today’s Saudi Arabian Crown Jewel pay-per-view.
According to WWE.com, Triple H will return to the United States this week where he plans to undergo surgical repair. Triple H appeared to have suffered the injury during Crown Jewel, as he looked to be in a significant amount of pain during the match. Triple H also appeared to be favoring the right side of his upper body over the other. He was able to hit The Pedigree and cover Kane for the pinfall; however, when he and Shawn Michaels celebrated their victory, his right arm hung awkwardly at his side.
When John Cena tore his pectoral muscle in late 2015, he was given a recovery time of nine months; however, was back in the ring in five months. Of course, that is John Cena and is atypical of the average recovery time. Depending on the severity of his injury, Triple H may be facing the very real possibility of being out of action until next year’s SummerSlam build.
