#5.) Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels – WrestleMania 24

Despite not being the main event, the most talked-about match in WrestleMania 24 was none other than Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels, in what was The Nature Boy‘s retirement match. Naturally, emotions were high heading into the match and from his entrance, Flair found it hard to keep his facial expressions composed, constantly being on the verge of tears.

The match itself told an incredible story of a legend doing everything he possibly could to do what he loved, but ultimately, he was too old and Michaels was too good for him. The match ended with Michaels uttering the iconic words “I’m sorry, I love you.” before finishing Flair with a Sweet Chin Music and ending his career in WWE. Flair was visibly in tears when being pinned and the night and the next night on RAW were nothing short of emotional, as Flair said goodbye to the most legendary career in wrestling history.
