Carmella may not have gone through the indies or had a long, arduous journey within wrestling to join the WWE, but as with everyone, she’s had her own struggles coming up. Her family wasn’t the richest and there have been times where she’s had to clean and sweep gym floors, live in cars and an apartment with no electricity while coming up.
Her road to the WWE certainly wasn’t paved with flowers on the sides but she had a certain factor about her that led to her getting signed by WWE. A lifelong wrestling fan, it seemed like destiny that she wound up becoming one of the female mainstays in sports entertainment. From her time in NXT with Enzo & Cass to her singles run to the main roster call-up and eventual championship success, Carmella sure has been through a lot since her WWE debut in 2013.
