New Japan Pro Wrestling continued their Kizuna Road Tour on Tuesday. Since the show aired at 5:30am EDT, here’s a spoiler free match listing for the non-nite-owl New Japan fans. Every match is given a Need To Watch Rating of 0.0-10.0. The show is available on NJPWWorld.com
First Match: Ren Narita & KUSHIDA vs. Bullet Club (Yujiro Takahashi & Taiji Ishimori)
Yeah, you’re good on skipping this one. Inoffensive, fun and inessential.
Need To Watch Rating: (1.0)
Second Match: Togi Makabe, Jushin Thunder Liger & Tiger Mask vs. Toa Henare, Shota Umino & Tomoyuki Oka
Again, safe, professional and skippable.
Need To Watch Rating: (1.0)
Third Match: Roppongi 3K (SHO, YOH & Rocky Romero) vs. Suzuki-gun (El Desperado, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & TAKA Michinoku)
This match was a lot of fun. It’s still entirely skippable.
Need To Watch Rating: (1.0)
Fourth Match: CHAOS (Tomohiro Ishii & Toru Yano) vs. Suzuki-gun (Taichi & Takashi Iizuka)
Ridiculously skippable.
Need To Watch Rating: (1.0)
Fifth Match: Michael Elgin, Juice Robinson, Jeff Cobb & David Finlay vs. CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada, Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI & Jay White)
Skip it, go ahead. Okada is sad, Jay White is crazy, Jeff Cobb is strong, and David Finlay is also there.
Need To Watch Rating: (1.0)
Main Event: Super Strong Machine Commemorative Invitational Match: Super Strong Machine Ace (Hiroshi Tanahashi), Super Strong Machine No. 69 (Ryusuke Taguchi), Super Strong Machine Justice (Yuji Nagata), Super Strong Machine Buffalo (Hiroyoshi Tenzan), Super Strong Machine Don (Manabu Nakanishi) (w/ Super Strong Machine) vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon (Tetsuya Naito, BUSHI, SANADA, EVIL & Hiromu Takahashi)
This match is amazing. Ludicrously niche, though die hard NJPW fans will love all of the callbacks to SS Machine’s rich history. Honestly, if you’re familiar with Super Strong Machine, you will love this match. If you’re not familiar, the talent assembled here make it worth the watch. LIJ are a perfect foil for the five SS Machines. A gem of a match that all should seek out.
Need To Watch Rating: (10.0)
