Sanity vs. Hideo Itami and Kassius Ohno
With a tag team partner that he has been at odds with over the past few weeks, Kassius Ohno would have to rely on being an outsider in this match. Hideo Itami wanted to do battle with Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain all by himself. It was obivous during the match, with Ohno being able to get a little bit of offense in the ring. He tried to tag himself in, but Itami ignored him. This would lead to the end of the match, with Sanity using the numbers game. Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain, two men that should be facing Authors of Pain sooner rather than later, looked really good tonight. The style of offense that both men have is punishing, yet timely and precise. The bigger story has to be the continued dissension between Ohno and Itami.
What is this leading to? Looking at the card right now and predicting the NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III matches, You will have all three championships and then an additional UK Championship match. With those four, you still have room for maybe one match and this one seems to be the one they want. That leaves guys like Eric Young off of the card, maybe Andrade Cien Almas and what about Roderick Strong? Now would be the time to add more than one feud to fight for the NXT Championship. I am sure many people would love to see some gimmick match with Strong, Roode, Ohno, McIntyre and Itami. I can see all of these guys working and putting together an excellent 30-40 minute match. It will not happen, but it might be better suited to spotlight a few of the big names who need it.
Whatever they decide to do, NXT is doing a solid job at this build. They are being patient and letting these two former friends really develop depth and details into an eventual heel turn from Hideo Itami.
