Making It a Triple Threat
We found out on WWE RAW that Charlotte will defend her championship against both Bayley and Sasha Banks at WWE Clash of Champions. With a backfired idea from Dana Brooke, it looks like she gets screwed over once again. This led into a tag team match, where Dana held the foot of Charlotte, which made the champion take advantage and pick up the win for her team. When you look at this match and how they have booked Dana Brooke along with the other three women, my first question was this: Why would Mick Foley not make this a Fatal Four Way match at Clash of Champions? WWE continues to tease us with the separation of Dana Brooke and Charlotte, with Brooke getting some backbone in the recent weeks. With the slap last week, the crowd immediately got behind her. I like what I have seen from Brooke and, even if she would take the pin fall loss on Sunday, it would make it more interesting so Bayley and Sasha would be preserved and not suffer another loss.
The women did really good tonight from backstage interviews to in-ring action. A continued focus on all of the women is something that I like to see. Give me more of the interactions with Bayley and Sasha while continuing Dana and Charlotte’s breakup.
Two Squashes Equal One Interesting Quality
Braun Strowman and Bo Dallas both picked up relatively easy wins on RAW, once again. While Bo Dallas squashing someone does nothing for me, tonight Braun showcased a little more than the usual. Sin Cara had him hurting, albeit for a brief moment, but Braun raced back into the ring and then caught Cara in midair to drop him for the win. This was a splash of speed that we have not seen from this big guy before, which was very refreshing. All we have been exposed to is one move after another with no agility or speed added to it. A positive for him, but how can they really build him up and then not make him a main player? Let’s just hope he does not get the Ryback backlashing.
