Vince and The Undertaker
Vince McMahon comes out and talks about his instrument of destruction and then introduces The Undertaker. He enters the ring, says that the blood of Shane McMahon at WrestleMania will be on his (Vince’s) hands. He walks out. Vince says that Shane, after WrestleMania, will be nothing but the son… of a b*tch.
Soo…. Is he calling his wife a b*tch? Are they trying to bring her into the storyline? We know the connection that Linda and The Undertaker have had over the years (backstage). It is similar to her connection with The Ultimate Warrior and she could be used to further this storyline, but I doubt it.
Underwhelming performance by both men tonight. Where is the intrigue? Where is the “why” in the situation? Why is The Undertaker fighting? Is his career at stake if he does not win? I need so much more to explain why this match was put together. I just do not think they have the answer to that right now. WWE has one of their most popular faces of all-time facing a guy who the crowd erupted in seeing again, how do you separate the two?
Fans hate seeing The Undertaker lose, especially at WrestleMania. But, they do not want Vince/Stephanie and Triple H to win. So, where does that leave you at after tonight? It is going to be hard to really have a common sense storyline here and could be diluted in short time.
