Time To Play The Game…Dean Ambrose?
Triple H comes out and talks about Roman Reigns challenging fear, disrespecting him and then talks about what happened last week. Out comes Dean Ambrose and he gets into the face of the champion. He says that Roman Reigns told him that he is coming for Triple H. He talks about everything that is going on in WWE, including Shane McMahon. He asked Triple H who he did not want to win at WWE FastLane, and he said Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns were the only guys that mattered. Dean says he knows that Triple H would not want to fight him. Dean challenges him, but Triple H says he will think about it. Triple H books a match between Dean Ambrose and Alberto Del Rio.
It took 15-20 minutes to kick off Raw and the segment fell flat. Dean is good, but he is not that good right now. He comes out and gets into the champions face, but it took much longer than needed to get the point across. I really am not sure why WWE needs this “March to WrestleMania” special. Instead of developing 5 weeks of television that grabs the attention heading into WrestleMania, they have to make a quick pit stop and tries to make it more important. Do fans want to tune in at 10:50 to watch Del Rio vs. Dean Ambrose?
Dean Ambrose would be attacked later in the night and Triple H would accept his challenge for a championship match.
The League of Nations seem to be part of Triple H’s Authority in the past few weeks. A good thing? Maybe, especially since Vince and Stephanie will be more utilized for the match between Shane McMahon and The Undertaker. What I do NOT like about this is that WWE is focusing the next 2-3 weeks on Dean Ambrose vs. Triple H for a WWE Network special three weeks before WrestleMania. Why? Did they not learn a thing at WWE FastLane? Dean Ambrose is booked like he can overcome anything, which is good due to his size restraints. He needs to show the fact that he has heart, little brains and can be this lunatic character. If not, what else is he?
Divas Match on Raw
Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks competed on Raw for the right to face Charlotte for the WWE Divas Championship at WrestleMania 32. The match was more action during the commercial break and ended up in a draw. I do think this is a good idea because you have three talented women that deserve an opportunity to compete in front of 100,000 people in Dallas. I am not sure how it will be announced moving forward and if there will be another rematch, but I am a big proponent of announcing matches with plenty of time to build something interesting. If they get one more match and then another draw of some sort, they can easily book them as co-contenders. It will make more sense to give both women plenty of time to develop something intriguing.
