Seth kicks him and Ryback catches him in mid air and drops him with a Shell Shock. Big Show squashes Ryback and we are at a stand still. Ziggler and Kane get going. Ziggler throws Kane into Show and then hits a DDT. Dolph hits a superkick and a Fameasser to Rollins. He punches at Kane, but Big Show hits a Knockout Punch. Kane throws him down and Kane picks up the win for his team.
The beginning of WWE Fastlane starts with a pretty solid six man tag team match that picked up steam as the match went on. I was surprised that WWE gave the pin to Kane and that Rowan spent so much time in the ring. The focus needed to be more on Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler, but the ending gave The Authority all of the power.
That was until Randy Orton returned. He cleaned house with some RKO’s and then was able to make Rollins retreat. Randy Orton’s star power is much needed and the Seth Rollins vs. Randy Orton match at WrestleMania 31 has me salivating. I also enjoyed that they had a backstage camera of Seth Rollins scared s*itless. A story is there and Orton unleashed is what we need to see from him. Keep Randy aggressive and by himself.
Brother vs. Brother
Stardust, in a newer look, shoves his brother a few times. Goldust slaps him and both men head into their corners. Both men hit some hip tosses and then they stare at one another again. Goldust tries to hit Director’s Cut and then Stardust rolls to the outside. Goldust hits a back breaker and then a clothesline to the outside. Stardust gets his foot up and then takes over with multiple kicks to his stomach.
Stardust hits a front suplex and then taunts his brother. Stardust tries to hit his finisher and Goldust rolls through with the win.
A few things: This match should have been saved for WrestleMania 31. I do not know if they will do a rematch because it just did not seem to connect. The pace never really picked up and the ending seemed odd. Was it supposed to happen that way? What is next? Why would Stardust get the loss? What was missing tonight? So many questions and a match that, unfortunately, did not deliver.
The only thing that saved this was the promo by Stardust after the match. We shall see if they deliver the second time around.
