Matt Hardy and The Wolves vs. The Revolution
Matt and The Wolves run at The Revolution and hit Poetry in Motion to kick things off fast.
James Storm gets the upper hand by throwing Matt into the steel. Matt and Manik work in the ring and Hardy hits a Side Effect.
Storm tries to block the tag but Matt kicks him and The Wolves both tag in, then they connect with some kicks and some great tag team combination on Storm. Davey slams him and kicks him for two. Koya and Storm run in but The Wolves clear the ring, then they both take The Revolution out with a suicide dive. Matt sets up Manik up for a Twist of Fate. He waits and allows Davey to double stomp Manik in stereo with the Twist of Fate, and Eddie follows with a splash from the top for the win.
Man, the chemistry with Matt, Davey and Eddie is excellent to watch. This was an extremely entertaining 6 man tag team match with a little bit of everything. Matt carried most of the offense and let The Wolves hit the “splash moves.” The action was fast and really told a great story. James Storm gets the last laugh with an attack at the end of the match. Carry on this feud, please. Storm is a believable leader, albeit a random pairing of guys. Matt will be able to carry the feud without Jeff for a few weeks. The logical storyline of respect from The Wolves to Matt Hardy is fun to watch and logical in more story development from Matt and Storm.
What Makes Spud Entertaining?
Rockstar Spud gets to shave Tyrus’ head on Impact. Mr. Anderson continues to be on his side with Andrews and is able to help out the young and underdog like wrestler. I wonder why so many people like Spud.
I have respect for Spud and will admit I was not a fan of how his character was perceived previously. I thought he would stunt the growth of Ethan Carter, but it is not. Spud is likable because he is the definition of “normal.” I mean this in a good way because fans love to cheer for guys that they feel are like them. They love the guy that overcomes the odds. They love Spud because he is a good wrestler, a good character and has grown into someone that is intriguing. His feud with EC3 will do great things for him down the road and EC3, I expect, will get the last laugh. Either way, it has been entertaining to see evolve over time.
