I'm in that post-Mania slump again. This year's feels like the worst to date. I guess it didn't help that I barely got OUT of last year's post-Mania slump by the time WrestleMania 30 rolled around – the build was so bad!
I love the WWE roster – Bryan, Reigns, Ambrose, Rollins, Wyatt, Barrett, Cesaro – there's just a lack of "must-see-TV" on Monday nights. What do I "need" to watch? Where's the content I'm supposed to be talking to my friends about around the water cooler? TNA is trying their darndest to get people interested in Thursday nights with swerves (or not swerve, according to Vince Russo) and a few creative angles, but it's still just south of the mark, for me.
As such, it's getting harder to write this column… and I just took it over. The "steps up" are few and far between. Individuals are doing well (see: all the people I listed above) but when the product as a whole isn't exciting, everyone suffers. If I didn't have the Network I wouldn't have purchased a single PPV this year.
So here we go. I picked out a few people I noticed, for better or worse, making movement this week.
